The Bloodline’s dominance over Friday Night SmackDown has been felt since Roman Reigns’ return to WWE back at SummerSlam 2020, with him capturing the Universal Championship a week after at Payback, and still holding it to this very day.
When Roman began ruling SmackDown, he did so alongside just Jey Uso, with Jimmy being out of action for over a year with an injury. However, when Jimmy returned, it didn’t take him long to earn his spot in the Bloodline, with him and Jey defeating Rey and Dominik Mysterio at Money in the Bank in 2021 to capture the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.
That event took place on July 18, 2021, which means, for you calendar enthusiasts out there, that today officially marks one full year of the Usos at the helm of SmackDown’s tag team division.
Jimmy and Jey are set to defend their gold against the Street Profits in a rematch from this year’s Money in the Bank event at SummerSlam in two weeks, with WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett set to serve as the special guest referee.
