Former WWE star Patrick Clark Jr, formerly known as the Velveteen Dream, has addressed rumors that he recently visited the WWE Performance Center.
A rumor had circulated on social media that the controversial former NXT North American Champion has been at the WWE facility, fuelling speculation that Clark was preparing for a return to the company.
Fightful reported that they were told by WWE “emphatically” that the rumor was not true.
Clark has now also denied these rumors in a post on his Instagram story.
Clark wrote:
I AM NOT IN A REHABILITATION FACILITY NOR HAVE I VISITED ORLANDO FLORIDA
– THE WWE PERFORMANCE CENTER
-OR ANY WWE EVENTS OR FACILITIES
Clark has not wrestled on record in almost three years, his last match being a defeat to Adam Cole on the December 23, 2020 episode of WWE NXT.
The last time he had been in the news was an arrest last year for alleged trespassing and battery, but the case was dropped due to lack of evidence.
