Following his first-ever championship victory in WWE on this week’s NXT (June 13), Nathan Frazer has emotionally reacted to winning the NXT Heritage Cup.
In a video posted to WWE’s Twitter, Frazer was almost speechless upon the realisation that he had accomplished a life-long dream.
The 24-year-old thanked his parents and friends back in England for their support along the way while also promising that this first taste of WWE gold was only the beginning.
On paper Frazer’s victory was perhaps a surprise given former champion Noam Dar’s recent formation of ‘The Meta-Four’ faction alongside Oro Mensah, Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson.
However, due to an apparent injury, Dar would in fact be deemed unable to compete, with the former champion enlisting stablemate Mensah to defend the cup in his place.
This obviously would backfire with Frazer capturing the cup, however, as of right now it is unclear whether the Scotsman’s injury is legit or a part of a storyline.

I remember a time where the vast majority of folks thought I would come to WWE and fail.
Tonight, I proved every single one of those people wrong.
The first of many.
