VIDEO: Will Ospreay Cuts Passionate Promo While Face To Face With Kenny Omega

Ahead of their match at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17, Will Ospreay confronted Kenny Omega during the pre-event press conference, cutting a passionate promo.

On January 4, Ospreay will defend his IWGP US Championship against the AEW star, in Omega’s first NJPW match since January 2019.

In the lead-up to the bout, Omega claimed that Ospreay failed at replacing him after he left NJPW to help form AEW.

In the January 3 press conference, things got heated, with Ospreay cutting an expletive filled promo in Omega’s face.

Ospreay opened up about his 15 hour journeys from the UK to Japan, and the 14 day quarantine, living in his ‘own f**king brain’.

The champion then opened up about having to watch his best friend’s funeral through an Ipad, telling Omega that he has no idea what he has gone through over the last few years.

Referencing Kota Ibushi, Ospreay warned Omega that if he’s able to hit the AEW star with his Hidden Blade elbow strike, he will cave his head in.

In July 2022, Ospreay stated that issues between him and Omega first arose after Ospreay defeated Omega’s former Golden Lovers tag partner Kota Ibushi at Wrestle Kingdom 13 in 2019.

Ospreay notably defeated Ibushi with the Hidden Blade elbow, before Ibushi was stretchered out of the arena.
