With Hulk Hogan’s Hall of Fame profile reinstated and his recent appearance backstage at Extreme Rules, it seemed that Vince McMahon was bringing the ‘Hulkster’ back into the fold. Now, the reunion seems to have hit a snag.
Last week, Pro Wrestle Fest announced a New World Order (NWO) reunion and according to Brad Shepard of the No Holds Barred podcast, Vince isn’t happy that Hogan is using the gimmick outside of WWE by wearing the NWO colors. According to Shepard:
“Hulk Hogan, he’s got a little heat. Vince McMahon is not overly pleased with his little going into business for himself, so to speak, with the NWO.”
The NWO originally formed in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) at Bash at the Beach 1996 when Hulk Hogan shockingly turned heel and joined the Outsiders (Hall and Nash). WWE bought WCW and all of its trademarks, including the NWO in 2001.
Is it time for Hogan to return to WWE programming? Should Hogan have the right to appear as part of the NWO if he wants? Let us know in the comments, on Twitter or on Discord today!
