Was Vince McMahon Backstage At WWE WrestleMania 40 WWE

There has been an update on whether Vince McMahon was present backstage at last night’s WWE WrestleMania 40 event.

Last night, WWE held night one of WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia, which marked a lot of historic firsts for the event.

One of those was that the event was the first event in the history of WrestleMania to feature no influence at all from Vince McMahon, who resigned from the TKO board of directors in January after the lawsuit from Janel Grant.

While Paul Levesque served as the Chief Content Officer at last year’s WrestleMania 39 show, McMahon was still present at the event, even making some changes to the creative for the show.

In an update from PWInsider, McMahon was not present backstage at WrestleMania 40 last night, officially marking the first ever event in WrestleMania history to not feature him in any capacity.

There was a McMahon present backstage at the show, that being Stephanie McMahon, who was also shown on camera at the Hall of Fame.

The Undertaker was also reportedly backstage.

Triple H opened up last night’s show, where he welcomed the fans to WrestleMania, the first of his ‘new era’.

There was reportedly a lot of excitement ahead of the show due to McMahon not being around to ‘ruin everyone’s fun’.

Triple H also made a change to a Vince McMahon WrestleMania rule on the show, which you can see here.

You can find any updates on Vince McMahon and Janel Grant’s lawsuit against him, John Laurinaitis and WWE at this link.
