‘Well-Liked’ AEW Name Retiring

‘Well-Liked’ AEW Name Retiring AEW

A ‘well liked’ AEW name, known throughout the wrestling world for their historic work is reportedly retiring.

According to a new report from Fightful Select, Sandra Gray is retiring from AEW.

The well known and well liked backstage name has had a successful career in fashion, designing and serving as seamstress for many of the most famous names in wrestling.

While she has been most recently making gear for AEW stars, Gray has been a staple throughout professional wrestling since the 1990s.

Gray worked for WCW until it was acquired by WWE, where she continued until 2015.

She was recruited by Brandi Rhodes when AEW was in its infancy and while she will be retiring from the company, Gray will reportedly continue to make one wrestling star’s gear.

Sandra Gray will still come out of retirement to make Cody Rhodes’ gear as she has since his transition back to WWE.

Elsewhere in wrestling, Gray was just credited for a gorgeous albeit last minute design featured on national TV.

On today’s appearance on the Sherri Shepard show, Trinity Fatu wore gear that was designed by Gray, writing on Twitter:

“@sgovintage thank you for making me a special gear for @sherrishowtv with such short notice and just in time for me to catch my flight lol I love it and you😘✨”

Sandra Gray has not only worked in design for professional wrestling gear, she’s also the brains behind designs for wedding dresses, for both in-ring and real  life weddings!

Last Spring Gray notably created multiple AEW pay-per-view looks for AEW Double or Nothing but also at the same time she was altering Dakota Runnels’ gorgeous wedding gown.
