AEW’s Will Ospreay Praised By Independent Wrestling Star AEW

The support offered by AEW’s Will Ospreay has been praised by an independent wrestling star who recently made their ROH return.

Having last competed in ROH back in January 2021, Session Moth Martina recently made her return, facing Red Velvet during this week’s United Kingdom tapings.

Martina is a familiar fixture on the United Kingdom wrestling scene and has taken her skills internationally, including Stardom in Japan.

Her return to ROH during this week’s tapings was recognized by AEW’s Will Ospreay, who commented on Martina being derailed by the COVID pandemic, tweeting:

“Moth got f**ked over hard because of Covid

“Knowing everything she has been through in the years that followed, seeing her getting another chance on ROH really fills my heart with joy.”

The Irish wrestling star would respond to Ospreay’s words, giving an indication of the support she has received from the AEW star, posting:

“I cannot put into words how much @WillOspreay has helped me this year, he’s helped me keep my head up and stay focused on the future, what he’s doing for women’s wrestling in the UK will go down in history, and he’s doing it for us, not himself. Forever grateful, BillyGoat 🩷”

Martina was named as Ring of Honor’s Female Wrestler of the Year, in the 2020 awards list, having competed against Angelina Love and Sumie Sakai in singles action during that year.

She would return to ROH in 2021, teaming with Beer City Bruiser, Joe Hendry and Rhett Titus in a winning effort over Delirious, Grizzly Redwood & Shinobi Shadow Squad (Cheeseburger & Eli Isom) in January.
