Will Ospreay Potentially Set For Major World Title Match AEW

IWGP United Kingdom Champion Will Ospreay could potentially be set for massive world title opportunity at an event this month.

For the first time since 2016, Ospreay will return to IMPACT Wrestling for a match against ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view on October 21.

While this bout is one many fans are salivating over, things may now be set to get much more interesting for the Aerial Assassin following a major announcement from the promotion.

As announced on Twitter, just one night after the pay-per-view, Ospreay will step into the ring again, only this time against the Walking Weapon Josh Alexander at the Bound for Glory Fallout show on October 22 in Chicago.

Although this alone would be enough to get people talking the bout’s stakes could be raised so much higher depending on how Alexander gets on in his own match at Bound for Glory the night prior.

Alexander, the longest reigning IMPACT World Champion of all-time, is set for the chance to capture the title once again on October 21, where he takes on reigning champion Alex Shelley.

If Alexander walks out of Bound for Glory as champion then his match with Ospreay on October 22 will in fact be contested for the Impact World Championship.

Ospreay most recently competed at AEW WrestleDream on October 1, teaming alongside fellow Don Callis Family members Konosuke Takeshita and Sammy Guevara to defeat Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega and Kota Ibsuhi.
