A women’s match is the latest addition to the WWE United Kingdom Tournament event at the Royal Albert Hall on Monday, June 18.
Although not yet confirmed by WWE, the promotion’s UK events promoter LiveNation is advertising a four-way contest between Toni Storm, Jinny, Killer Kelly and Isla Dawn on the first night of the double header, with the winner set to square off with NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler the following evening for the title.
We previously reported that Toni Storm and Jinny had been signed to UK deals by the promotion, with both expected to be involved in the upcoming Mae Young Classic in the summer. As far as we are aware, Kelly and Dawn have not yet signed deals with the promotion.
Storm and Jinny are both notable names on the UK independent scene, appearing for promotions such as PROGRESS and RevPro. Storm is also a headline act in Japanese women’s promotion Stardom, where she is the reigning World of Stardom champion.
Killer Kelly is a Portuguese competitor who has made her name in German promotion wXw. She became the group’s first women’s champion in 2017 and has since competed for RevPro and popular all-female promotion Pro Wrestling:EVE.
Isla Dawn has appeared for WWE before, working under the name Stacey Coates in a Raw defeat to Asuka in Manchester last November. The 24-year-old Scot has already spread her wings worldwide, wrestling in Stardom and for U.S. female groups SHINE and WSU.
