Ted DiBiase’s Son Pleads Guilty In Fraud Case WWE

Brett DiBiase, the son of Ted DiBiase, has pled guilty in the case of “the largest public embezzlement scheme” in Mississippi’s history.

It had previously been reported that WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase, along with his two sons Ted DiBiase Jr and Brett DiBiase, had been ordered to repay millions of dollars of “misspent or improperly dispersed’ welfare money.

On Thursday, WLBT reports that Brett DiBiase (real name Dale “Brett” DiBiase) pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States in U.S. District Court.

DiBiase had previously pled guilty to two charges in Hinds County Circuit Court.

The report also states that, in addition to his state court sentence, he faces up to five years in federal prison along with a fine of up to $250,000.

He is one of a number of people who are connected with the embezzlement of “millions of dollars” in Temporary Assistance for Needy Families funding.

DiBiase was paid $48,000 through his business Restore2, LLC and made fraudulent and false claims to receive payments.

In addition, he is “accused of helping cover up these payments by falsifying documents, invoices, books, reports and ledgers.”

According to the report, “investigators say former DHS workers created invoices to pay DiBiase for teaching classes about drug abuse, but he did not do that and instead was at a luxury rehab facility in California.”

The DiBiases were among a number of people served demands by the state auditor.

State Auditor Shad White’s office has served demands for more than $77 million in total for “illegal TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) spending”

Pat McAfee is being sued by Brett Favre over allegations of the NFL legend’s involvement in the welfare fraud scheme.

McAfee, along with TV host Shannon Sharpe, is accused of “making baseless defamatory allegations” against Favre, accusing him of knowingly stealing $1.1 million in Mississippi welfare funds for speeches that were never made.

McAfee had accused Favre of “stealing from the poor people of Mississippi” with Sharpe referring to him as a “sleazeball”.
