WWE Alpha Academy Member Reacts To Chad Gable Heel Turn

WWE Alpha Academy member Akira Tozawa has reacted to Chad Gable turning heel on this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw.

After coaching Sami Zayn to an Intercontinental Championship win over Gunther at WrestleMania 40, Gable challenged for Zayn’s gold on the April 15 Raw episode.

Sami Zayn was ultimately victorious, pinning Gable after a Helluva Kick to win his first title defence.

Gable attacked Zayn after the match, pulling Zayn away from his wife with a German suplex before continuing the beatdown around the ringside area.

Akira Tozawa has now addressed his mentors actions, taking to Twitter to share his reaction.

Appearing to take Gable’s side, Tozawa wrote:

I trust you. Because you’re my coach.

A Chad Gable vs Sami Zayn rivalry was teased even before Zayn’s title win at WrestleMania 40, with Zayn notably pinning Gable last in the Gauntlet match on the Match 11 Raw episode to become the Intercontinental Title #1 contender in the first place.

Zayn defeated the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion of all time to win the gold, ending Gunther’s 666 day reign with the gold.
