Chad Gable Opens Up About Mindet To Staying Relevant In WWE

Chad Gable has revealed the mindset that he maintains in order to ensure he stays relevant on WWE television.

He may have missed out on an opportunity to face Gunther once more for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 40, but Gable has recently discussed how he plans to stay on TV.

Speaking to Wrestlezone ahead of the gauntlet match on last night’s Raw, Gable revealed his mindset, saying:

“Consistency. You touched on that. I think is important. I’ve almost made it a point and a mission for me. Not only for myself, but the group to do that.

“Stay on TV, stay entertaining, and provide whatever they are asking for us. But, not just do it, but over-deliver every time. And I think when you do that, you can’t get ignored. It’s hard to be ignored. And I think we do that. I don’t think, I know we do.”

He would go on to discuss making the most of any opportunity, adding:

“If we get 30 seconds of time on TV in a backstage segment to just talk about something at random, we make it the best we possibly can. And we make it something people remember. And the powers that be noticed that and it paid off last year.

“In a sense that whether it was all the entertainment skits, all the matches, everything we did all year long. And we thought we were going to be left off WrestleMania and last minute, Otis and I got the chance at that Showcase match. And I would call that one of the best matches of the entire weekend.

“You have to just keep pressing forward. Stay consistent and deliver. And magic happens man. We’ve proved it.”

At WrestleMania 39, Alpha Academy (Gable & Otis) competed in the Men’s WrestleMania Showcase Fatal Four-Way Tag Team Match, facing Braun Strowman & Ricochet, The Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar) and The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford).

The Street Profits would go on to win that match with Dawkins pinning Ricochet.

The March 11 episode of WWE Raw saw Sami Zayn overlast Ricochet, Bronson Reed, JD McDonagh, Shinsuke Nakamura and Chad Gable in the Gauntlet Match to decide who will face Gunther at WrestleMania 40.
