WWE Champion Injured!

Carmella has been withdrawn from this weekend’s WWE Live shows after sustaining a facial injury in her match with Beckly Lynch on SmackDown Live.

The SmackDown Live Women’s Champion revealed the extent of her injury on her Instagram story, revealing a seriously swollen lip.

Responding a fan question on Twitter about whether she would be appearing at the weekend’s shows, she answered:

I’m not sure if I will be medically cleared to compete. Hopefully my lip will be healed by then. Crossing my fingers. ?? https://t.co/CQq4f1OMiZ

Thankfully, this sort of injury won’t see her out for any extended period of time, but it’s probably safe to pull her from the weekend’s show to make sure the swelling doesn’t get any worse.

‘Mella’s next match of note will take place at SummerSlam, where she will face the lady that busted her mouth, Becky Lynch.
