For the last few weeks on NXT TV, a feud between Johnny Gargano and Keith Lee has been teased. The storyline also included Candice LeRae, Gargano’s real-life wife, and Keith Lee’s girlfriend Mia Yim.
Many people were of the belief that we could see Yim and Lee team up at NXT TakeOver: In Your House to take on Gargano and LeRae, instead of WWE putting on two singles matches. This speculation was intensified after WWE actually announced LeRae vs. Yim for next week’s show.
Many fans were worried that the mouth-watering Keith Lee vs. Johnny Gargano match would be delayed past TakeOver, but it has now been confirmed that the match will take place on the June 7 show.
It was confirmed by WWE on Instagram that at NXT TakeOver: In Your House, Keith Lee will defend his North American Championship against former champion Johnny Gargano in a match that would legitimately be one of the best of the entire year.
