Roman Reigns defeated Brock Lesnar in the main event of WrestleMania 38 Sunday, winning the match dubbed the ‘biggest WrestleMania match of all-time’, retaining his WWE Universal Championship and capturing Brock Lesnar’s WWE Championship.
With both world titles now ‘unified’, fans had speculated that maybe WWE was planning on merging the Raw and SmackDown rosters.
This speculation grew when WWE announced that Raw Tag Team Champions RK-Bro would face SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos at WrestleMania Backlash, with the winning team winning both titles.
However, per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, despite the championships being unified, WWE still has no plans to merge the Raw and SmackDown rosters together.
He added that, as with anything, Vince McMahon could change his mind, but as of right now there is no plan to merge the two rosters together.
