WWE star Dijak has revealed that he has pledged for his brain to be donated to the Concussion Legacy Foundation for CTE research.
Dijak took to Twitter on Thursday (March 28) to reveal that nine years ago, he agreed for his brain to be donated for research into the brain disease Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE).
The topic had been brought up by a Twitter user who pointed out that Rob Van Dam will be donating his brain and spine for CTE research.
Replying to a comment suggesting that more wrestlers should consider doing this, Dijak wrote:
Agreed. I pledged my brain 9 years ago. Wrestlers click here if interested or hit up @ChrisNowinski1 or @ConcussionLF for more info.
Dijak has been wrestling since 2013, and competed for the likes of ROH, PWG and Evolve before joining WWE in 2017.
Before his wrestling career, Dijak showed promise in several sports including football, with the WWE star previously accepting a scholarship to play college football for the UMass Minutemen.
In addition to football, Dijak received honors in basketball during his college days.
Dijak is currently making a name for himself on the NXT brand following his previous main roster run. He most recently wrestled on the March 26 edition of NXT, defeating Shawn Spears in singles action.
He recently reacted to fans calling for WWE to push him, which you can read more about right here.
