During the WWE Elimination Chamber press conference, an upcoming championship match was announced for Monday Night Raw.
While Austin Theory went first in the post-show press conference where he wore sunglasses (perhaps to signal specifically that he was staying in character?) as well as note that he was a fighting champ.
When Edge and Beth Phoenix came out next, Edge broke some news of his own as he noted he would be happy to accept Austin Theory’s Open Challenge for the United States Championship.
In fact, why not have the match on this week’s Monday Night Raw?
We’ll have to find out if Austin Theory actually goes through with the match or if he ends up wiggling his way out of this one.
Theory retained his United States Championship tonight at WWE’s premium live event, Elimination Chamber.
In a match that saw the title being defended for the first time in the titular match, in the end he got a little help from a returning WWE star.
