Morale is reported quite low backstage among WWE employees currently.
Fightful Select (subscription required) is reporting that there was a major meeting within WWE today. During the meeting, many employees were told they would not be provided promotions, raises, or bonuses. This reportedly left many of those in attendance with very low morale.
The report also states that members of production, office staff, and other departments were present. It was pointed out that WWE has continued to report increased revenue despite the pandemic. This has been a result of the major television deals signed for Raw and SmackDown recently.
Finally, the report added that this was not a meeting for talent or wrestlers, just employees. We will provide updates with any further details regarding the displeasure among WWE employees as soon as they become available.
