WWE Faction Name Scrapped?

WWE Faction Name Scrapped? WWE

It appears a WWE faction name may have been scrapped with the members of the group receiving a promotion over the past couple of weeks.

Last week’s October 30 episode of WWE Raw played host to the debut of NXT’s Creed Brothers, Brutus and Julius, with Ivy Nile in their corner.

The Creeds won their debut match against the Alpha Academy last week, and last night, it was announced during Raw that they and Ivy Nile were officially called up to the main roster.

After that, the Creeds picked up the win in a match against DIY, and Ivy Nile made the final four of the Women’s World Championship #1 contender battle royal, only being eliminated by the already-eliminated Nia Jax.

An interesting thing to note about the Creeds and Nile during their couple of weeks on Raw is that their collective NXT group name, Diamond Mine, hasn’t been mentioned.

They aren’t being referred to as Diamond Mine, simply “the Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile”, as you can see in the several images below.

WWE even published a full article on its website announcing their call-up, and again, there was no mention of the name Diamond Mine.

Their entrance graphics, merch and ring gear do all still contain the Diamond Mine branding, but WWE itself has stayed away from calling them that, for whatever reason, so it’s possible the rest of their presentation just hasn’t been updated yet.

Otherwise, the fact they’re not being referred to as Diamond Mine is just a bit odd.

Diamond Mine actually dates back to mid-2021 in NXT, when the original members were Roderick Strong, Tyler Rust, Hachiman (Hideki Suzuki), and manager Malcolm Bivens (Stokely Hathaway), none of which are with WWE anymore.

Other members that have come and gone more recently are Damon Kemp and Tatum Paxley, who are both still in NXT.

If anything does change or receive an update, we will of course keep you posted – it’s just an intriguing thing to note that WWE hasn’t used the name Diamond Mine on its social platforms or website since their move to Raw.
