AEW has just announced that WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson will act as the manager for Cody in 2020, starting this Wednesday night (January 1) on AEW: Dynamite.
AEW has teased a partnership between the two men in the past few months, with Anderson coming out to help Cody in his match with Shawn Spears at All Out. Anderson was dealing with interference from Tully Blanchard when Anderson appeared and hit his trademark spinebuster on Spears.
Interestingly, Anderson was one of Cody’s father’s biggest rivals back when the two were in their prime, but Cody clearly feels he can trust Anderson to have his back.

Now that Cody has promised to never challenge for the AEW Championship ever again, it will be interesting to see what he and Anderson have planned for the next year.
