Heartbreaking Real Story Behind WWE In-Ring Moment

There is a heartbreaking real story behind a WWE in-ring moment from this week’s WWE Raw (December 18) featuring Drew McIntyre.

On WWE Raw, Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins had a contemptuous back and forth exchange during an in-ring segment over their mutual goal of succeeding in the company.

However, while Rollins was in his home state of Iowa and being adored by fans from near his real hometown, McIntyre drew connection to his own experience of being apart from family and someone near and dear to Seth.

Referencing that Rollins’ real life wife knows what it is like to be so far away from your family, including during times of illness, after the segment it was confirmed that there was truth to promo.

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp tweeted after the segment in reference to the very emotional story Drew McIntyre was sharing during the segment:

“The story that Drew McIntyre is telling on WWE TV is very close to something he and his family have been going through.

“He hasn’t taken time off or asked for time off, and keeps performing”

Drew McIntyre will face Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Raw’s special Day 1 edition on January 1, 2024.
