WWE Hall Of Famer Didn’t Particularly Care For Jerry Lawler’s One Liners

A WWE Hall of Famer says she didn’t particularly care of Jerry Lawler’s one liners, but never held it against him.

During the WWE Attitude Era, Jerry Lawler became synonymous for his one liners on commentary that ranged from lewd to heavily sexually related.

On one particular episode of WWE TV, WWE Hall of Famer Molly Holly recalled that she was showing extra cleavage and Lawler remarked, “Wow, Molly is really pouring her heart out.”

During a Highspot Sign It Live stream, Molly was asked if she ever took issue with Lawler’s commentary. She answered:

“I have always liked Jerry and I knew that he had a job to do and he did his job well. I didn’t particularly care of the things he said, but I never held that against him personally.”

“His job was to entertain the demographic that was watching the show and at the time, that was all culturally acceptable and funny.”

“No problems with it even though I would have rather they talk about my athleticism. It was what it was for the time.”
