WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has addressed his recent back-and-forth with Paul Heyman over their views on the Bloodline storyline.
After Jimmy Uso helped Roman Reigns to defeat Jey Uso at SummerSlam, Paul Heyman claimed in the post-show press conference that this storyline was at the ‘bottom of the third’ inning.
This would mean that WWE is only a third of the way into the Bloodline saga, as baseball matches typically have nine innings.
Angle previously called Heyman out for this comment, arguing that WWE is ‘making s**t up‘ at this point.
Heyman fired back on Twitter, writing:
No matter what inning we’re in, at least we’re not looking for exposure thru the next Old Timer’s Day.
Ahem.
And just for the record, I typed this tweet with a broken freakin’ fingernail!
Speaking on his Kurt Angle Show podcast, Angle noted that he knew that Heyman’s recent shots weren’t serious.
Still believing that we’re in the endgame of the Bloodline saga, Angle said:
“Whether it’s true or not, at least Paul Heyman has some thick skin. He wasn’t real serious about that. I don’t think so.
“I think he was joking back. But what I said about that, whether I’m right or not, put it this way, most storylines that they do, they don’t know the complete end to it anyway.
“They just keep going and going, and they keep adding to it, then they take away, then they add more to it. You just don’t know when it’s gonna be done.
“The Bloodline, this storyline has been incredible. It’s been really entertaining, I’m not gonna lie to you. But I think he is in the eighth inning, and he’s wondering, what the hell do we do next? But I’m excited to see what happens.”
An update has emerged on plans for Jey vs Jimmy Uso, which you can read more about at this link.
