WWE Star Believes Lack Of Communication Led To Them Being Fired WWE

Zelina Vega has addressed her previous WWE release, believing that a lack of communication led to her exit.

Vega was let go by WWE in November 2020, which, as Sports Illustrated reported, WWE confirmed to be due to Vega “breaching her contract” by continuing to engage in third party projects such as Twitch and OnlyFans.

Vega returned to WWE in July 2021, nearly eight months on from her previous exit.

Speaking with WrestlingNews.co, Zelina Vega commented on the situation surrounding her release and return, noting:

“I didn’t know that this was gonna blow up as much as it did, but I feel like there’s an audience that was missing here, especially because everything is going digital now.

“Like, this is where the kids are, you know, and like, this is where we’re gonna get them, and I feel like there’s a way to blend the world.

“I think once they kind of figured out what I meant by that, and I think that’s really what was missing was the communication there.

“Once we talked it out and we kind of figured out, hey, like, this is how we can work together, that’s why I’m back.

“That’s why I’m back on Twitch. That’s why everything kind of worked out. It’s crazy how a conversation can change a lot of things.”

More recently, WWE made an ad share deal with Twitch which now allows talent to use the platform, and according to WWE CEO Nick Khan, make more money through the partnership than they would if they started a channel on their own.

Vega recently congratulated an AEW star following their title win, which you can read more about right here.
