Rising WWE Star Thought Main Roster Push Would Be ‘Slower’ WWE

A rising WWE star has shared her thoughts on her rapid ascent up the WWE card since debuting on the main roster.

Zoey Stark was moved to Raw in the 2023 WWE Draft after two years in NXT, and within weeks of her debut, the 29-year-old had been paired with Hall of Famer Trish Stratus.

The move was seen as a great way to utilise an NXT call-up by fans, however, for Stark, the immediate thrust into a high-profile storyline was a real shock.

Speaking on the Zaslow Show, Stark revealed that she expected the transition from NXT to main roster to be a lot “slower” than it ultimately proved to be.

Stark explained:

“I definitely didn’t think I would be getting as much time on TV as I am now. I thought it was going to be more of a slower transition, just a couple of things here and there, and build into something.

“I was thrown right into the fire with two of the top talents. It’s been a wild ride.”

Stark is set to take on Becky Lynch on this week’s (July 24) Raw from Tampa, Florida, with Stark impressively already holding one victory over the five-time women’s champion.

However, this time there are implications for both SummerSlam and the body of Becky Lynch, with not only a match with Trish Stratus on August 5 on the line for Lynch, but also the possibility of getting ‘Thank You Trish’ tattooed on her chest.
