An update has emerged on a big change reportedly set for WWE TV, with more stars seemingly set for main roster call ups.
While both WWE Raw and SmackDown are currently airing in two hour time slots, it had been heavily speculated that Raw would return to three hours following its move to Netflix.
With recent reports indicating that SmackDown could also become a three hour show soon, PWInsider has provided a new update on plans for Raw and SmackDown in 2025.
Per PWInsider (via WrestlePurists), there are “absolutely” plans for both Raw and SmackDown to be three hours long as of January.
It was noted that there has been discussions about adding NXT talents to the main roster at this point, indicating more NXT call-ups are coming.
A number of notable stars were added to the main roster this year, with Bron Breakker and Tiffany Stratton called up from NXT in early 2024 ahead of the WWE Draft, which saw the likes of Ilja Dragunov, Blair Davenport and Lyra Valkyria join Raw and SmackDown.
Breakker and Stratton in particular have had great main roster rookie years, with Breakker currently on his second Intercontinental Championship reign, and Stratton holding the women’s Money in the Bank briefcase.
A new championship for the women’s division has now been announced, which you can read more about right here.
