After Raw went off the air last night, Seth Rollins somewhat surprisingly come out on top after being attacked by The Fiend Bray Wyatt ahead of their Universal Championship match at Hell In A Cell next month.
This was a rather strange move on the part of WWE, with The Fiend previously looking unstoppable on TV and at live events.
As if that wasn’t enough, WWE made a rather large botch after the angle between Rollins and Wyatt as finished.
Dave Meltzer noted on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that The Fiend’s exit from the ring to the backstage arena didn’t exactly go to plan.
After The Fiend was laid out by Seth Rollins the lights went on, allowing Bray Wyatt to leave the ring.
However, the arena was not fully dark, so fans could still see The Fiend sprinting up the ramp towards the backstage arena, ruining the mystique of Bray Wyatt’s new character.
Ultimately, it obviously would have been far worse if this was captured on live TV for millions of people to see. However, it is still not ideal with Hell In A Cell right around the corner.
