It’s looking ever more likely that WWE are going to take the decision to merge their Raw and SmackDown Live women’s divisions.
With Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair both battling for Ronda Rousey’s Raw Women’s Championship, and the women’s tag belts being defended on both brands going forward, it seems the logical step to make.
Wrestlevotes, a Twitter account with an excellent record of backstage news, tweeted the following:
Source: the Women’s division roster is slowly going to be crossing over more between both shows.
The plan is to have the Women’s Tag Team Champions appear on both brands initially, however, not on a weekly basis.

While WWE is without question still the largest hub of women’s wrestling on the planet, a lot of it is still very limited with the roster split in half, so it may well be “best for business” to have them merge. This would make it easier for feuds to build and more challengers for the singles belts.
Natalya certainly seems to have noticed that SmackDown women are making their way onto Raw, tweeting:
Smackdown girls coming over to #Raw to face our women’s champion? ? I want to play that game……?? pic.twitter.com/sznqVfE4Yk

We could soon be in for a unification match.
