A former WWE star has described how, had it not been for real-life circumstances, they could have been part of a now-scrapped WWE stable.
Speaking on 10 Count with Steve Fall, Dean Muhtadi, formerly WWE’s Mojo Rawley, discussed the plans, saying:
“They were talking about me, Cesaro, and Shinsuke doing a new League of Nations thing, with me playing on the Arab background.”
Muhtadi is the son of a Palestinian father and half-Syrian mother, whilst Cesaro is Swiss and Nakamura is Japanese.
The plans were sidelined by real-world events, however, with Muhtadi explaining:
“I believe that ran right into when I got COVID really bad and had to stop wrestling.”
Muhtadi has previously discussed the severity of his case of COVID and how it ended up in the hospital.
Since his release in April 2021, Muhtadi has gone on to be the co-host of TMZ Sports which can be seen on Fox Sports FS1.
He also appeared in the GI Joe movie Snake Eyes.
In October 2022, he confirmed that he married his partner, Gracie, in Florence Italy, sharing a very Mojo Rawley video of his walk down the aisle.
