A controversial former WWE star is set to make his NJPW debut, with the star set to compete at All Star Jr Festival USA 2023.

A number of notable names have been announced for this all-star pay-per-view event organised by NJPW.

It has now been announced that Real1, formerly known as WWE’s Enzo Amore, will be in action at the August 19 event.

Real1 will team with Jack Cartwheel and Starboy Charlie to face off against Ryusuke Taguchi, Rich Swann and The DKC.

The former Cruiserweight Champion made a name for himself during his WWE tenure, ahead of his suspension and release in January 2018.

Real1 has been competing on the independent scene since then, previously working for the likes of MLW and AAA.

Another star set to make his NJPW debut at this show is Nick Wayne, who recently made his AEW debut.

After agreeing to a provisional contract with AEW, Wayne wrestled his first match for the promotion on the July 12 edition of Dynamite, days after his 18th birthday.
