Challenger Confirmed For NXT Gold Rush Week Two Title Match

Three big tag teams went to war for the opportunity for a future title shot against Gallus for the NXT Tag Team Championship on tonight’s NXT.

Fighting for a shot at Gallus for the NXT Tag Team Championship next week, Edris Enofe and Malik Blade took on the teams of Hank Walker and Tank Ledger, and Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen.

The match featured one particular high flying spot by Edris Enofe and Malik Blade, but also somewhat surprisingly, Hank Walker and Tank Ledger diving off the ropes to the outside as well!

In a wild final sequence, both Enofe and Blade delivered top rope moves to then capture the pinfall victory and the title shot against Gallus next week on the second week of NXT Gold Rush.

Elsewhere set for tonight’s special edition, week one of NXT Gold Rush, multiple main roster appearances are scheduled including Mustafa Ali serving as special guest referee in the North American Championship match.

Before their big NXT Championship match next week on week two of Gold Rush, tonight champ Carmelo Hayes is set to come face to face with Baron Corbin.

Also, Dana Brooke will take on Cora Jade after their bubbling rivalry boiled over last week in a backstage encounter.

And in the night’s main event, Seth Rollins is scheduled to put his WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the line against NXT star Bron Breakker.
