WWE Pitched For Top Star To Shave Their Head

WWE Pitched For Top Star To Shave Their Head WWE

Becky Lynch has become one of the top stars in WWE, with her being a WrestleMania main eventer, Royal Rumble winner and multi-time Women’s Champion.

However, Becky has had to go through her fair share of struggles during her career, and one pitch would have seen The Man shave off her iconic orange locks.

Speaking on Wrestling With Freddie, comedian Jeff Dye, an ex-boyfriend of Becky, revealed that she was once pitched a story that would see her shave her head and have a breakdown.

He said:

“When I was with Becky, they didn’t know what to do with her and there was a writer that pitched like, ‘What if we have you just shave your head and act like you’re having a breakdown?’ And Becky was like, ‘No.’ It was even going to move forward. They were like, ‘No, we think that’s a cool idea.’ This writer pitched like she would have to shave her head. [Becky said] ‘I’m not going to shave my head. What are you talking about?’ And so it never [took off] because Becky stood her ground and was like, ‘I’m not doing that.’

“They never did it, which made me wonder if maybe Shotzi was like, ‘I’m going to shave my head for this thing.’ And then that same writer was like, ‘My story is going to get big. Wait, what? I have a thing for this.'”

Shotzi is currently going through the same character arc on SmackDown, recently shaving her head and stalking Bayley after Bayley cut off a chunk of her hair on the June 30 episode of SmackDown.

Shotzi had shaved her head in solidarity of her sister, who lost her hair through chemotherapy during her treatment of cancer.

While Becky never did shave her head, she did have her hair cut off by Bianca Belair during the two women’s feud over the Raw Women’s Championship last year.

Becky did put her appearance on the line during a recent match with Zoey Stark, which would have seen her have to get a tattoo if she was defeated.
