More details on what WWE has planned for Becky Lynch as a heel has come to light following her return at SummerSlam this past Saturday.
Becky Lynch is now a heel as per her own request, and she beat Bianca Belair in about 20 seconds to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship as Sasha Banks’ “last-minute” replacement.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said:
“They went with her (as a heel) and they’re gonna try to use her to elevate Bianca Belair, that’s the idea.”

The short match is almost certainly going to lead to a full match between Lynch and Belair, this time with some actual build going into it.
Whether the idea of “elevating” Belair means she’ll get a win over Lynch, or just have a good outing in their match, remains to be seen, but it’ll be interesting to see how it transpires and how successful that plan is.
