An update has emerged on plans for an upcoming WWE Premium Live Event, and negative pushback from higher-ups related to the show.
It was previously reported that WWE is planning to host a PLE on September 20 in Indianapolis, with later reports indicating that the event could be named “Wrestlepalooza”, reviving the name from the previous series of ECW events.
WrestleVotes has shared a new update on Twitter, ahead of WWE’s official announcement, which is expected today (August 20).
The report noted that while Wrestlepalooza is still the frontrunner in terms of potential names, there was some “negative pushback” from higher-ups at Monday’s Raw taping.

It was previously reported that this event is expected to feature a Brock Lesnar vs John Cena match, following Lesnar’s return at SummerSlam.
In addition to this, the word backstage is that Cody Rhodes will defend the WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre at this PLE, per PWInsider.
