WWE
There’s been a lot of talk about Jay White’s future as WWE is reportedly interested, but there could be another big signing coming in as well.
Dave Meltzer reports in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that people in WWE who would “normally know of major acquisitions during Mania season” didn’t know about White, but did have something else to share.
The sources said there’s a “much bigger major free agent in play” right now.
Whoever that person is, they are said to be WWE’s current priority.
Several NJPW stars have been teased and/or rumored for WWE recently, namely White, Hikuleo and Tama Tonga.
However, the identity of this “major free agent” is still a mystery right now.
As far as pure speculation at this stage, Kota Ibushi recently became a free agent and hasn’t ruled out joining either WWE or AEW, although it does sound like he has projects he wants to work on in Japan first, namely opening his own training school.
We will of course keep you informed as any further details and updates emerge.
