WWE Producer Transitions Into Full-Time Performer Role

WWE Producer Transitions Into Full-Time Performer Role

A former WWE producer is now working as a full-time performer as his on-screen role has become increasingly prominent in recent weeks.

MVP returned to WWE earlier this year, first in the men’s Royal Rumble match and then wrestling Rey Mysterio the next night on Raw. At the time, he said that was his last match, and he signed with WWE as a backstage producer.

However, since the Mysterio bout, he’s had five further matches, including one which aired on Raw last night against Drew McIntyre. He’s also been involved in several interview segments and most recently has become the manager of Bobby Lashley.

PWInsider is now reporting that MVP’s role has officially changed and he has transitioned into becoming a full-time performer, no longer working as a backstage producer.

As mentioned, MVP is now the manager of Bobby Lashley who challenges McIntyre for the WWE Championship at Backlash on June 14. He also managed the tag team of Shane Thorne and Brendan Vink, but they haven’t appeared on TV for a number of weeks.
