SmackDown Live increased to 2.293 million viewers last week, which was up from 2.183 million the week before.
Before this week’s episode, the following were announced:
- AJ Styles’ WWE Championship number one contender to be revealed
- Becky Lynch vs. Carmella – If Lynch won, she’d get a WWE SmackDown Women’s Title match at SummerSlam
- SAnitY vs. the New Day – SmackDown Live Tag Team Championship number one contender’s tournament – Round One
This was enough to secure the blue brand an increase for the third consecutive week, as 2.34 million people tuned in to this week’s edition.
This is the highest figure SmackDown Live has scored in 12 weeks.
