SmackDown Live
If you thought maybe Raw suffered just because people are sick of the “BIG DAWG,” and that SmackDown Live‘s viewership would be fine, you were very wrong indeed.
Much like Raw, SmackDown Live has been on a consistent decline as of late, and that didn’t change this week.
Advertised prior to the show, much like Raw, were Money in the Bank match qualifiers, those being The Miz vs. Jeff Hardy, Charlotte Flair vs. Peyton Royce, and Rusev vs. Daniel Bryan.
Last week, SmackDown Live drew a, what I called, “pretty poor” audience of 2.6 million viewers. That was, in fact, the worst SmackDown Live TV rating since October last year.
“Hold my beer!” said this week’s episode, which saw only 2.29 million viewers tune in. The new low since Halloween 2017.
This week’s episode was up against NBA playoffs, and also primary election results in the States, so a drop would have been expected, but over 300,000 chose not to watch SmackDown Live this week, despite watching the week before.
Which is actually a shame because it was quite a good show.
