WWE Raw Season Premiere Sees Rating Bump

WWE Raw Season Premiere Sees Rating Bump

WWE Raw aired it’s season premiere episode Monday night.  The show featured a huge Brock Lesnar segment, another Fiend attack, Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, and the return of Bobby Lashley.

How did all the hype for the show and and major stars do when it comes to viewership?  Apparently, the hype worked.

Last night’s Raw drew in an average of 2.57 million viewers.  This was the best number since football season started and an increase from the 2.21 viewers last week.

You might attribute the bump in ratings to the fact that Monday Night Football featured two 0-3 teams.  However, that’s not the case.  This Monday night’s game actually drew in more viewers than the previous week seeing their viewership go from 10.33 to 10.47.

Many fans were hoping this would see a paradigm shift for WWE with all the fresh updates.  However, if you watched the show, you would see it was basically just a fresh coat of paint.

The show, while entertaining, had some questionable moments throughout.  Why did Brock attack Rey?  Why would Lana make-out with Lashley?

We’ll see how the show does to get viewers to draw in next week.  Will they tune in to see if The Fiend wins the WWE Universal Title?

Maybe they just want to see more awkward make-out sessions with the woman’s husband watching.
