Last night as part of the WWE Draft on Monday Night Raw eagle-eyed fans noticed a slight issue with the graphic that WWE put up when Mustafa Ali’s RETRIBUTION faction were drafted to the red brand.
The graphic put up showed Mustafa Ali flanked by T-Bar, Slapjack, Mace and Reckoning (Dominik Dijakovic, Shane Thorne, Dio Maddin and Mia Yim respectively). Mercedes Martinez (now Retaliation) was noticeable by her absence.
This comes after it was reported last week that Mercedes Martinez was no longer going to be part of the RETRIBUTION faction. Reports indicated that the veteran had been quietly moved back to NXT.
However, many fans didn’t believe this report after Mercedes Martinez/Retaliation was one of the names listed on the Draft Pool for last night’s episode of Raw that was released by WWE last week.
At this time, there is no word on why WWE decided to send Mercedes Martinez back to NXT and keep her away from the RETRIBUTION faction. For the latest on that, make sure you stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com.
It has been speculated that Survivor Series will be headlined by RETRIBUTION vs. The Hurt Business in a five-on-five tag team match. This comes after MVP teased that a new member of the Raw women’s division could be joining the group.
Speaking of WWE Raw stars moving back to NXT, fans are hoping that either one of Andrade or Mickie James will be appearing at the Capitol Wrestling Center tomorrow night after being undrafted by either brand over the last few days.
