WWE Release Awesome Attitude Era Style SmackDown Opening Video

You have to hand it to WWE; for all they manage to do a cracking job alienating the hardcore fans on a weekly basis, now and again they throw something out there that reels you right back in.

Having released a bunch of kick-ass Raw intros in the promotion for Raw 25 featuring the modern roster in classic opening montages, WWE have done the same thing again as part of the build towards Tuesday’s SmackDown 1000 with this video:

Watching that makes me wish it was the permanent intro video. It’s so much more pulsating, vibrant and exciting.

SmackDown 1000 is set to be a stacked event, featuring the return to the ring of Rey Mysterio as he battles Shinsuke Nakamura in (maybe) a Crown Jewel World Cup qualifier.

There is also an Evolution reunion which will mark Batista’s first WWE appearance in over four years, a SmackDown return for The Undertaker, and cameos from Michaelle McCool, Christian, Teddy Long and many others.
