An update has emerged on the in-ring status of WWE Raw star Johnny Gargano following his recent wrestling hiatus.
Gargano hasn’t wrestled on WWE TV since competing in a battle royal on the May 15 edition of Raw.
His most recent singles match took place a month earlier than that, with Gargano defeating Grayson Waller in an Unsanctioned bout at NXT Stand & Deliver in April.
Gargano has now made his wrestling comeback, competing at the July 29 house show which took place in Fort Myers, Florida.
On the show, Gargano faced off against Omos, but ultimately came up short, with Omos victorious.
You can view a photo of the encounter below.
Gargano’s return to the house show circuit seems to suggest that the star’s Raw in-ring return is just around the corner.
It is currently unclear what WWE’s plans for Gargano are post-return, with some fans speculating that he and Tommaso Ciampa will have a DIY reunion, and other predicting that it’s time for The Way to officially reunite.
Triple H’s WWE plans for The Way on the main roster reportedly got ‘Vince’d’, which you can read more about right here.
