WWE Names Behind Sheamus’ In-Ring Return Revealed WWE

Sheamus made his return to in-ring action on the April 15 episode of WWE Raw after last being seen in August 2023.

His first match back also saw him return with his old theme music, Written In My Face, and without the Brawling Brutes.

Sheamus had previously shared photos and videos of his recovery process, revealing that he had thought he would have to “hang up (his) boots for good.”

Describing his road back to the ring as “slow, rough and unimaginably painful”, he has since gone on to reveal the people who helped him knock off the ring rust.

Among those who helped Sheamus were Gable Steveson and Fit Finlay, as can be seen in the tweet below that reads:

“It takes a village of unsung beautiful heroes to put any fighter in any ring whether it be a sports stadium or a sports hall.

“Thanks fellas for all you do 🫡

“Sláinte!”

“Sláinte” translate from Gaelic as “health” and is commonly a drinking toast in Ireland and Scotland, similar to “cheers”.

To hammer that point home, one of the photos shows Sheamus and Finlay enjoying a pint of Guinness.

An Olympic gold medalist, Steveson is not listed as competing in the Paris 2024 games later this year.

Steveson had a number of dark matches at WWE SmackDown in January and February of 2024.

Finlay is a trainer and assistant coach at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida having rejoined the company in 2012 as a producer.
