As reported by Casey Michael of Squared Circle Sirens, WWE has added two new names to their Performance Center on developmental contracts. According to Michael, Australian Rugby star Daniel Vidot has joined the company after multiple tryouts – the last being in October 2017.
WWE has signed 28-year-old Australian Rugby Player Daniel Vidot to a developmental contract. He is of Samoan and Irish descent.

Vidot is not the only Rugby player to join WWE, however, as English Rugby League star Luke Menzies has also signed a contract after some trouble with his visa, which Michael followed up on.
Also to follow up on this it seems as if Luke Menzies finally got his visa and is in Orlando, Fl to sort out his housing before he reports to the WWE PC in a few weeks. pic.twitter.com/9ixD8UqFZz

This all comes off the back of reports that USA Rugby star Todd Clever is also in talks to join WWE following an outreach by the company to professionals of the sport which you can read about here.
It will be interesting to see how these athletes will transition to professional wrestling. What will also be noteworthy is how they will fare in the Performance Center alongside the likes of Keith Lee. The former PWG World Champion will certainly act as a benchmark for the new recruits with his size, speed, skill, and experience all to be measured up against.
What are your thoughts on the new WWE signees? Do you think they’ll be able to make a name for themselves next to Lee? Let us know in the comments below or on Twitter here.
