A new WWE signing is said to be impressing officials during recent matches, and is expected to become a regular going forward.
WWE signed a number of independent stars back in January, including Wren Sinclair, who has since made her debut on NXT television.
Another name signed in January was former DPW Worlds Champion Jay Malachi, who recently made his in-ring debut for WWE under his new name Je’Von Evans.
Evans’ WWE debut is set to air on tonight’s episode of NXT Level Up, when he takes on Brooks Jensen, but Evans made his first appearance on NXT television on this week’s show, appearing in a backstage segment which saw Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen get into a brawl.
However, we could be set to see much more from Evans in the coming weeks.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), Evans has continued to impress NXT officials during his recent matches on NXT live events, and is expected to become a regular on NXT television moving forward.
Tonight’s Level Up show will also feature Gigi Dolin taking on Izzi Dame.
This week’s episode of NXT was taped following last week’s show, due to agents for the brand being set to be in Perth for tryouts ahead of Elimination Chamber.
