It’s being reported that former IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Eli Drake has signed with WWE as part of NXT.
PWInsider reports that Drake is expected to be part of the next Performance Center class on February 23.
This comes after the same site had reported that WWE had also signed former IMPACT Knockouts Champion Taya Valkyrie to NXT.
Drake was released from his contract with the NWA late last year.
He was in the WWE developmental setup before in 2013-2014 but was released without really making a mark due to not getting along with then-trainer Bill DeMott.
He won the IMPACT World Title in August 2017 and reigned for 146 days.
As you can see from the below tweet, it also seems that Eli Drake is at tonight’s TakeOver: Vengeance Day.
