Former ROH Women’s Champion Sumie Sakai was spotted at a recent WWE show following WrestleMania 40 week.
Tuesday’s (April 9) edition of NXT was the first episode following Saturday’s (April 6) Stand & Deliver premium live event.
While many fans were expecting to see top stars, one talent who WWE fans didn’t expect to see was Sumie Sakai, who was spotted attending the show.
Sakai has now re-posted a tweet of herself at the event. Explaining what’s happening in the photo, she wrote:
I am jealous of my friend @michiitossu.
Because she got @BaronCorbinWWE‘s shirts!!!
Sakai most recently wrestled at Sunday’s SPARK Trailblaze show in New Jersey, USA, where she won the SPARK Joshi World Title from AEW’s Billie Starkz, before dropping the gold to Starlight Kid.
Another Japanese star has now signed with WWE, with former STARDOM talent Giulia reportedly set to report to the WWE Performance Center after she finishes her remaining dates.
