Emotional WWE Tag Team Split Confirmed WWE

WWE star Baron Corbin has shared an emotional message for Bron Breakker, appearing to confirm that the split of their tag team.

In a rematch from Saturday’s April 6 NXT Stand & Deliver event, Corbin & Breakker defended their NXT Tag Team Championship against Axiom & Nathan Frazer on Tuesday’s edition of NXT.

Axiom & Frazer were ultimately victorious, ending Corbin & Breakker’s 55 day reign with the title.

With Breakker appearing to be set for a full-time main roster run, the future of their team was initially unclear.

During a WWE Digital Exclusive segment following their title loss, Corbin thanked Breakker to helping him to reignite his passion for wrestling.

Indicating that Breakker will be a solo star on SmackDown, Corbin said:

“I want to say thank you to Bron Breakker. This man helped reignite that fire, along with all of you (fans), for me, coming back here to NXT and it has been one hell of a ride.

“Bron got me my first gold in over six years.

“And I bust my ass for this man right here because he’s an unbelievable competitor, he’s turned into one hell of a friend, and he’s gonna go off to SmackDown, and he’s gonna become WWE World Heavyweight Champion.”

Corbin had previously pitched on social media for WWE to add him and Breakker to the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championship ladder match which took place on WrestleMania 40 Saturday.

Austin Theory and Grayson Waller won the SmackDown Tag Team Championship during that match, while R-Truth and The Miz walked away with the Raw Tag Team Title.
