WWE held it’s Superstar Spectacle event in India yesterday (September 8), featuring numerous top WWE stars as well as many Indian WWE stars.
One Indian WWE star not featured on the show was Mustafa Ali, who shares Pakistani and Indian ethnicity.
When one fan said they were surprised to see Ali not in action on the show, Ali responded, saying he would have loved to have performed on the show to ‘bring together’ the people of Pakistan and India.
He said:
My apologies to all the fans in India. Would have loved to perform there. With all the tension that exists between Pakistan and India, I would have loved to shown that a man from both countries can bring us together.
WWE star Shanky took part in his first match in over a year on the show, when he challenged GUNTHER for the Intercontinental Championship.
Ali is currently appearing on NXT, where he is seemingly next in line for a shot at Dominik Mysterio’s North American Championship.
